Creating this album and sharing my music with others is, for me, A PIECE OF HEAVEN. Music has always been a key part of my life. Growing up I would sneak onto my neighbor’s porch just to hear his records play. I would sit for hours listening to beautiful music and drifting off to fantasy worlds in my mind. As I got older, my first paychecks would go directly to the record stores and finally to a piano of my very own. I was never formally trained on the piano, but it has allowed me to create music for my own enjoyment – to remove myself from the hectic pace of everyday life and to reflect my dreams into music. Though the music on this album has been composed over many years, THE MUSIC ROOM at Rosario is where this album began. The night I played this piece was the start of a new chapter in my life. My husband, my biggest fan, encouraged me to share my compositions with others. ANTONIO’S SONG is one of strong belief, support, and love… Mahal kita!

I like to end my days spending time with my family and my music. It can often be a struggle just to get through the daily routine – places to go, places to see – but when I am with them, I realize it has been ANOTHER PERFECT DAY after all. We gather during a WINDSTORM, the power out; my husband and boys play board games while I sit at the piano playing by candlelight.

I always look forward to the late evenings when my kids are asleep and all that’s around me is simple SERENITY. Everything is quiet. Nothing exists but me, my piano, and my music. It is times such as these that I drift into MIDNIGHT FANTASY.

I dream of quiet times in a special place I call my own, away from the city overlooking STILL WATERS. I have images of WEEPING WILLOWS, impressing upon me the beauty and simplicity this is present in all things. I reflect on simpler and happy times gone by. I REMEMBER WHEN…. It’s easy for me to lose track of time when I’m inspired at the piano. The night passes when suddenly I realize I have played into DAYBREAK.

My life is AT THE CROSSROADS… new choices are before me. Which way should I go?

I would like to dedicate this album to my family – husband Tony; sons Francis and Christopher; sisters Gina, Ruth, and Sue; brothers Manny, Ray, and Gary; my mom Cynthia and stepdad Tony. Thank you for your love and support! Special dedication goes to my father Manual Peralta and brother Joseph who are now in heaven… I miss you!
