Maia, a working mother of two, enjoys sneaking precious moments of solitude late at night to reflect her dreams and desires into the piano after a long business day. These rare moments of solitude have led to passionate piano music and her debut solo piano album A Piece of Heaven!

Maia was born May Peralta in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines. Her father was a heart specialist at St. Anthony Hospital in Roxas City, where her mother still lives. Today, Maia lives with her husband Tony and two sons, Francis and Christopher, near Seattle, Washington.

Having a full-time job with the City of Bellevue, Washington for 16 years, Maia simply played the piano for her own enjoyment. It wasn't until Christopher Peacock heard her music that she realized her music should be shared with the world! Maia states, "Music has always been a key part of my life. Growing up in the Philippines, I would sneak onto my neighbors' porch just to hear his records play. I would sit for hours listening to beautiful music and drifting off to fantasy worlds in my mind. As I got older, my first paychecks would go directly to the record stores and finally to a piano of my very own. I was never formally trained on the piano, but it has allowed me to create music for my own enjoyment... to remove myself from the hectic pace of everyday life and to put my dreams into music."
